Tobey and Michael began their culinary adventures together in the kitchen of the acclaimed Avalon Restaurant in 2004 and after Michael spending four years cooking in Spain and Tobey honing her culinary expertise as Chef de Cuisine at Jamie Kennedy’s Wine Bar, the two married in 2008 and left for a culinary adventure that would span four years. Cooking and touring from Turin to Tuscany, Spain to Haida Gwaii, Vancouver to Panama, they returned to Toronto in 2012 to open their dream restaurant – Edulis.

Edulis is this power couple’s love, their soul and their passion. Their goal is to provide a restaurant where “the pleasure of enjoying a gathering around the table to share authentic dishes and to be greeted like a friend; conviviality, feasting, celebrating the craft and tradition of cooking, honesty and enjoyment of spectacular ingredients.” As the seasons change so do the menus as they showcase their love of food with their set menus sharing their passion with each guest.
